Di Ferro e Cuoio

Di Ferro e Cuoio is the first novel by my friend Marco M. Colombo. In his words this is an “epic metropolitan ride, as simple as our lives, as our stories, as the history of our town.”

He writes about the coming of age in a suburban town in northern Italy, and this setting was the main inspiration for our work: after doing research on Sesto San Giovanni’s history and development, we chose to celebrate its industrial past by mimicking the graphics of constructivist posters.

Once we finalized the look of the cover, Marco asked us to make collateral materials as well: a cover for the soundtrack (by Matteo Cantaluppi), social media assets and a bookmark.

Project in collaboration w/ Andrea Giambelli.
